NBAA PDP COURSE: SMS FOR BUSINESS AVIATION
Atlantic Aviation APC, 2100 Airport Road, Napa, CA • Apr. 29, 2026

This one-day course, held in partnership with the Northern California Business Aviation Association and hosted by Atlantic Aviation, will provide a thorough review of safety management systems (SMS), including benefits, objectives, risk management, safety assurance and promotion. Both FAA and ICAO guidance will be reviewed. By fully understanding SMS fundamentals, the participant will be able to contribute to the development of an SMS program for their business aviation department, or simply support an existing SMS. By adopting an SMS, business aviation departments will realize new efficiencies and greater safety, thereby producing benefits for the entire organization and furthering the business aviation industry.

This course is co-hosted with the Northern California Business Aviation Association (NCBAA).

This course covers PDP Objectives Operations Ops 6.

Cost: $900 for members and $ 1045 for non-members.

Aviation Career Discovery Day is a celebration of the people and innovation that propel aviation’s tireless push to greater altitudes. This daylong event is a chance for students to learn, network and be inspired by aviation professionals from Northern California.

The NCBAA, in collaboration with the students and staff with the SJSU Career Center and Department of Aviation and Technology, strives to generate community interest in aviation by raising awareness of aviation careers, trends and issues in our industry.
